OPTIMUS Lab

Optimal Power Transformation and Inverter Modernization with Utilizable Strategies

Who fits here

Everyone here reads widely and thinks things through, then builds what they propose, tests it against the analysis, and reports what came out, including the parts that did not work. Each member below states, in their own words, what they are aiming at.

Alumni

Since October 2016 the lab has been sending graduates into industry and research. They have gone on to Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, LS Electric, Doosan Enerbility, the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI), and the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), among others.

Power electronics is needed wherever something runs on electricity, so demand for people trained in it stays steady. The path from here can lead to power, automotive, marine, aerospace, home appliances, electric machines, or power semiconductors, whether at private companies, public energy utilities, or national research institutes such as KERI and the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER).
